    Edward Dobson, "Understanding Bollinger Bands"
    Traders Press 1994 | ISBN-10: 0934380252 | PDF | 31 Pages | 5,6 MB

Bollinger Bands have been a popular method of technical analysis for several years, however there has never been any comprehensive reference on the subject available. The discussion and treatment of Bollinger Bands has been either "shortchange" or omitted in recent books, which offer guidance in the interpretation and usage of technical stuties and indicators, such as Elder's "Trading For a Living" (only 2 pages) and Pring's "On Market Momentum" (omitted). Bollinger Bands are included in many different software packabes, but the manuals give little in-depth guidance on usage and interpretation.

The author worked closely with John Bollinger to be able to help the reader increase his knowledge of Bollinger Bands, and their effective and proper usage.

This high marked an important intermediate turning point which was not exceeded for months. This method may be applied to ANY active market, whether stocks, futures, or indices, in ANY time frame. Imagine the value of having the knowledge of how to make similar projections of price and time targets in the markets you trade! Publisher's note: The material in this book should be construed strictly as a trading "tool" and not as a standalone method. The Taylor Trading Technique: George D. Taylor
              Traders Press, Inc. | ISBN: 0934380244 | 1994-05 | PDF (OCR) | 128 pages | 7.09 Mb

For those interested in day trading and short-term trading in futures, this classic 1950 work is an indispensable reference. The 3-Day Method (a.k.a. The Book Method) described therein, maintains that markets move in a three-day cycle that can be tracked by measuring rallies and declines. Linda Bradford Raschke highly recommends this book and the principles it teaches. Table of Contents: Chapter 1: How the Market Trend is Made Chapter 2: How to Make Up a Trading Book Chapter 3: Uses for the Columns and Marks Chapter 4: The Symbols as Trend Indicators Chapter 5: A Buying Day Chapter 6: A Buying Day Low Violation Chapter 7: A Selling Day Chapter 8: A Short Sale Day Chapter 9: A Short Sale at High of Buying Day Made First Chapter 10: Failures to Penetrate Chapter 11: The Trend Line and Trading Areas-Market Trends Chapter 12: Limit Day Moves Chapter 13: The Three Day Swing Method Chapter 14: The Investor and Swing Trader Chapter 15: Pertinent Points Many illustrated plates and cuts

              Review:
I recommend this book to everybody interested in short term trading or adding a short term method to a intermediate or long term one.
Linda Rasche is wrond saying that chapters 2, 3 and 4 should be skipped as I think this is the essence of this book. When you make up the book as per Taylor's instructions reading other chapters becomes much easier to understand because you start to see what Taylor focused on and what terminology he used.
Difficult read but well worth the price.

              Review:
The Taylor method was focused on capturing the overall trend for the day, and avoiding the noise. Most of the reviewers here seem to underestimate the value of this approach on today's e-minis. It's a horrible read but the material is worth it's weight in gold. If you take one thing away from this book it would be the value of the prior day's range in terms of watching pivot points.

              Review:
Funny how many have overlooked this treasure. At first glance,it appears quite dated and difficult to follow. If nothing else this book is worth a fortune for buying bottoms. That's right, buying bottoms.

              Review:
              1) Do not be mistaken: Taylor's language usage is 3rd class and really 'uncomfortable' - but hidden beneath the surface is a brilliant mind at work.
              2) It will ask hard study - it is not a 'reading' book, but one to disgest slowly. I am afraid to say that most 'interpreters' did not spend enough time with this book to grasp its content correctly.
              3) This is a fine method to keep you 'alive and healthy' through all types: trends, congestions and extreme volatile conditions.

Michael W. Covel , "The Complete TurtleTrader"
                Harper | 2005 | ISBN-10 0061241717 | English | 800p | 10mb | PDF | RS.COM

If you want to beat the market, you have to do something different from what everyone else is doing, and you have to be right. In this fascinating and instructive book, Michael Covel tells how a group of novice traders used a system that generated trades that were both different and right, and which made them a lot of money. If you want to understand the real world of trading, read this book

Turtle Trader is a story. It's a beach-chair page-turner loaded with interesting, even offbeat, characters and, a fair dose of drama. It's part Chicago historical account and sociology text.
