My Golf's DSG is jerking and I'm not sure what to do

I've owned my 2018 Volkswagen Golf R for about three years now and honestly it's been one of the most fun cars I've ever had – the acceleration is addictive, the handling is razor sharp, and it just puts a grin on my face every single time I drive it. But over the last few weeks I've started noticing some pretty concerning behaviour from the DSG gearbox, specifically when I'm crawling in stop-start traffic or manoeuvring at low speeds, where it feels really jerky and almost like it's hesitating or even stuttering between gears. At first I thought it was just me being overly sensitive or maybe the car was having an off day, but it's been getting progressively worse and now I'm genuinely worried that I'm looking at a mechatronics unit failure or something equally expensive. I've been reading up on it and apparently these DSG boxes can be sensitive to oil changes and adaptations, so I'm hoping that maybe a fluid service and recalibration might sort it out, but I've also read horror stories about people having to replace the entire mechatronics unit which costs an absolute fortune. I really don't want to take it to the dealership because I've heard their prices are eye-watering, but I also don't trust just any garage with a car like this because you need someone who actually understands how these gearboxes work and has the proper diagnostic equipment. I've been asking around and a few people have mentioned that good Volkswagen maintenance near MBZ City is actually more accessible than you'd think, which is convenient for me since I live in that area and work nearby as well. I'm planning to get it checked out as soon as possible because I know leaving it too long could turn a relatively simple fix into a complete disaster, but I'd really love to hear from anyone who's been through a similar DSG issue with their Golf or any other VW with the same gearbox. What did it turn out to be, and how much did it cost to get sorted? I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the worst but obviously hoping for the best, and any insight from people who've actually dealt with this would be massively helpful right now. The car's done about 75,000 kilometres so it's probably due for a DSG service anyway, but I'm worried that might just be the start of the story rather than the whole solution.
