Just got my Passat back from the shop and I'm honestly relieved

So I've been putting off getting my Passat's transmission looked at for months because I was dreading the cost and honestly just didn't know who to trust with it. The gear changes were getting really rough, especially when downshifting, and I could feel this jerking motion that made me nervous every time I drove. I finally bit the bullet and took it to a place that was recommended by a colleague who drives a similar model. They ran a full diagnostic and it turned out to be a solenoid issue rather than the whole transmission needing replacement, which was a huge relief. The guys there were really transparent about everything and even showed me the old parts they took out. I'm not saying every shop is like this but finding people who actually specialize in these cars makes such a massive difference compared to the general garages that just guess their way through repairs. My car feels brand new again and the shifts are buttery smooth which I honestly didn't think was possible at this point. Just wanted to share a positive experience for once since we usually only hear about the bad ones.
